GovEd chooses CODA for LivePosters

GovEd Technologies (part of GovEd Communications) have recently announced their LiVEPoster product: a robust, A1-sized poster frame which incorporates a CODA digital display. Durable, interchangeable printed posters can be inserted in the frame, and the display, visible through a rectangular window in the poster, shows dynamic, up-to-date information which complements the printed material.

"We're delighted that GovEd chose our CODA technology as the basis for LiVEPosters", says Quentin Stafford-Fraser, the CEO of Camvine. "I must confess to being lukewarm about the LiVEPosters concept when it was first described to me, but when I saw the final product I was completely converted! It's hard to appreciate in the abstract, but the quality of the printed posters, and the clever marriage of traditional and novel educational technologies, definitely won me over. This is a great way to bring educational materials to life."

Ravi Kapur, the Managing Director of GovEd Communications, is also enthusiastic. "We needed a networked technology that would allow us to present constantly-updated information in a robust and cost-effective way. CODA was a much better technology to incorporate in LiVEposters than traditional PCs; it was far more robust and much easier to deploy."

CamVine and GovEd will be sharing a stand at BETT 2009, the UK's premier showcase for educational technologies, in January 2009, where visitors will be able to see both CODA and LiVEPosters for themselves.
