The CODA web service
Digital signage for the internet age
Introduction
CODA was built from the ground up to take advantage of today's broadband connections and web services, which means that you can manage your displays and content from wherever you are. There is no software to install at your premises, and no software needed to manage a CODA system, other than a standard web browser.
CODA is easy to use!

CODA content can be sourced from anywhere on the web (or your organisation’s intranet) and delivered to any display on the CODA system. It can be static (such as photos from a photo-sharing website) or generated on the fly (such as live pictures from webcams). We support most image formats, including JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP & TIFF. We support HTML, PPT and PDF. And the CODApod hardware supports a range of video formats as well.
The web-based nature of the CODA system allows us to give you simple connection to generic calendars, RSS feeds and photocasts, as well as to specific services like Flickr and Facebook.
For the more technically-minded...
Camvine is actively encouraging its developer community. For example, the CODA Markup Language, CML, is a simple HTML-like language which offers a lightweight way to format screens with both text and graphics. It can easily be created from such sources as CGI scripts, news feeds or database engines, and is fully documented here. But we also publish hints, tips and sample code to get you thinking about new ways to use CML with your CODA displays.
In addition, most people find the standard CODA user interface meets their ordinary needs very well. But we also have an HTTP-based API which allows you to drive CODA from your own applications and web sites.
Where possible, we use open formats and open APIs... we want to make it easy for you to make the most of your CODA system, and to enjoy developing for it as much as we do! If you don't have such expertise in house, we'd be happy to help out.
